Learn how to create a present state of awareness and reduce overall stress. Cost is $10 per session- more information is available at www.BeingOneWorld.com

1:00 pm: Quilting Group

Open for new and experienced sewists! Bring your own sewing machine in good working order, machine needles, and a spool of cotton thread. You should have at least a basic understanding of how to operate your sewing machine. If you can sew a straight line, YOU CAN QUILT! Open to adults 18 years and older. 5:30 pm: Gentle Yoga with Jean Marie CYT, LMT

each session is $15 for an hour long class, and includes centering, gentle stretches, and asanas. RSVP: yoginijean@yahoo.com

7:00pm : LGBTQIA+ Support Group

Open to all, although minors need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No cost or commitment to attend weekly.

4:30 pm: Produce Pantry

Free produce distribution every Friday. Numbers are handed out beginning at 4:15. No I.D., paperwork, or preregistration required.

We will be finalizing any last minute details and start getting things set up for the big day!

Come celebrate the season with us at the new Rotterdam Community Center as we provide FREE framed portraits for all our neighbors along with local professional photographers, hair stylists and makeup artists! The festivities will also include snacks with Santa, storytelling, gifts and holiday crafts for all ages. Join the international movement with local impact and build some community with us this holiday season! THERE IS NO NEED TO PRE-REGISTER to participate in this cherished Schenectady County tradition! The event is FREE for all in our local community although donations to support the ongoing work of the Rotterdam Community Center will be accepted.

Tri-City BMX Winter Indoor Balance Bike Class

Join Tri-City BMX this winter for an exciting Indoor Balance Bike program designed to teach children 1-5 the fundamentals of BMX racing in a fun and safe environment! Through fun games and obstacle courses, children will develop balance, coordination and control while building confidence through expert coaching. Emphasizing safety and teamwork, this program offers a supportive atmosphere for every child to thrive and explore the world of BMX. Join us and start your adventure in BMX racing where nobody sits on the bench! Winter sessions are held each Sat at the Rotterdam Community Center. Agape Blues Benefit Concert

Join the Capital region's premier Gospel Blues band Agape Blues Company and help us to make a joyful noise and fill the shelves at the Bread of Life food pantry! Musically, Agape Blues Company is a full-bodied blend of blues styles with rock and roots notes. Performances include many original songs written by Scott Heller, classic gospel blues covers, and Christian hymns rearranged in a blues style-better known as “Barrelhouse Hymns.” Admission for the concert are non-perishable food items. Refreshments and cd's will be sold with all proceeds to benefit the food pantry.

Learn how trained volunteers can help our adult neighbors strengthen their reading, writing, and English language skills — and how you can get involved. Whether you’re interested in becoming a tutor, know someone who could benefit from our free services or simply want to lower the stigma around adult illiteracy in our community this forum is a chance to connect, ask questions, and explore opportunities.

​Rotterdam Board Game Night

Please join us for Game Night on the 3rd Friday monthly from 6:30 to 9:30 (may run later to finish up games as needed). Bring your games, or play ours! We will provide chess, checkers, cards, and a variety of board or card games including but not limited to: Settlers of Catan, Set, Evolution, Castles of Burgundy, Ticket to Ride, Wingspan, Splendor, Azul, and many more! We have a solid Magic: The Gathering contingent as well! People of all ages and abilities are welcome, but most provided games are suitable for people 12 and older, so please bring games suitable for younger children if they are joining in on the fun. We hope to share knowledge and find like minded people who love to game. Game night is free although a $5 suggested donation is appreciated to help keep Rotterdam Community Center up and running. Minors under 13 need to be accompanied by an adult. Unaccompanied minors need a virtual permission slip completed beforehand that can be found at https://bit.ly/MLCEventPermission.
