To set up an appointment, call 518.364.3205, leave your name and the best phone number to contact you, and we will assist you as soon as we can! Upon arrival for your appointment, you'll be invited to fill out a form regarding what food items they'd like to to take home. Our friendly volunteers will then fill the order and bring it to you.​

NOTE: This group is taking the summer off! The next meet up will be the Wednesday after Labor Day!

Open for new and experienced sewists! Bring your own sewing machine in good working order, machine needles, and a spool of cotton thread. You should have at least a basic understanding of how to operate your sewing machine. If you can sew a straight line, YOU CAN QUILT! Open to adults 18 years and older. 5:30 pm Gentle Yoga with Jean Marie CYT, LMT

Second and Fourth Wednesdays

Free produce distribution every Friday. Numbers are handed out beginning at 4:15. No I.D., paperwork, or preregistration required.

The RCC Book Club is hosting a fundraiser for our Nutritional Security Programs, an they want YOU to join them! If you want to read for a good cause, fill out the registration form (HERE) by Aug. 10th, ask your friends, family, co-workers, or anyone you know to sponsor you for a set amount for the day, and then get to reading on August 15th! People are welcome to come and go as they wish to the RCC from 9:00am-9:00pm. Feel free to bring blankets, drinks, snacks, pillows, or anything you feel will help make your time with us more comfy! There will be some refreshments provided, too! If you do join us in person, bring your pledge sheet and donations (cash or check) to the event, or if reading at home, bring them in the following week to the RCC. Please make checks out to “The Rotterdam Community Center”.
From 9:00 - 11:00 am and 2:00 - 4:00 pm we will have family hours at the RCC with crafts for those with kids under 15. Children (under 18) are welcome to join an at any time during the day but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We do request that parents help their kids be mindful of readers outside the family hours who might want a quieter atmosphere for reading.

Join us for a Brooks Barbecue Fundraiser supporting programs and services at the Rotterdam Community Center, including our food pantries, community hub classes, and arts and culture programming. Chicken dinners are $16 and include: chicken, baked potato with butter, dinner roll, coleslaw, and dessert. We will also have a limited supply of chicken only for $11 each.

This presentation discusses Schenectady’s role in the American Revolution and the diverse interests and motivations that forged a new nation.

Join us for a FREE community movie night with crafts! This month we are partnering with the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York Service Unit 212, and everyone is welcome to join! This month we are showing “The Lorax”. Twelve-year-old Ted lives in a place virtually devoid of nature; no flowers or trees grow in the town of Thneedville. Ted would very much like to win the heart of Audrey, the girl of his dreams, but to do this, he must find that which she most desires: a Truffula tree. To get it, Ted delves into the story of the Lorax, once the gruff guardian of the forest, and the Once-ler, who let greed overtake his respect for nature. Doors open with crafts to do starting at 6:00pm and then the movie starts at 7:15pm. The movie is free with concessions available for purchase in our ADA accessible, surround sound theatre space.​​
