1:00 pm: Quilting Group

Open for new and experienced sewists! Bring your own sewing machine in good working order, machine needles, and a spool of cotton thread. You should have at least a basic understanding of how to operate your sewing machine. If you can sew a straight line, YOU CAN QUILT! Open to adults 18 years and older. 5:30 pm: Gentle Yoga with Jean Marie CYT, LMT

4:30 pm: Produce Pantry

Free produce distribution every Friday. Numbers are handed out beginning at 4:15. No I.D., paperwork, or preregistration required.

Join Tri-City BMX this winter for an exciting Indoor Balance Bike program designed to teach children 1-5 the fundamentals of BMX racing in a fun and safe environment! Through fun games and obstacle courses, children will develop balance, coordination and control while building confidence through expert coaching. Emphasizing safety and teamwork, this program offers a supportive atmosphere for every child to thrive and explore the world of BMX. Agape Blues Benefit Concert

Join the Capital region's premier Gospel Blues band Agape Blues Company and help us to make a joyful noise and fill the shelves at the Bread of Life food pantry! Musically, Agape Blues Company is a full-bodied blend of blues styles with rock and roots notes. Performances include many original songs written by Scott Heller, classic gospel blues covers, and Christian hymns rearranged in a blues style-better known as “Barrelhouse Hymns.” Admission for the concert are non-perishable food items. Refreshments and cd's will be sold with all proceeds to benefit the food pantry.

In the years following the American Revolution, residents of upstate New York clamored for access to higher education. Their calls were answered in 1795 with Union College. For more than two centuries, this school has attracted some of the nation's brightest minds. From American Presidents to brilliant engineers, this presentation discusses how Union has shaped Schenectady and America as a whole.

But none attracted as much attention or achieved as much as the Mohawk Colored Giants. This presentation discusses the short yet sensational seasons of this team in Schenectady as well as the segregated conditions in which the Giants lived and played.

In 1926, Frederick Freeman Proctor built his theater in Schenectady's burgeoning downtown. In the glamour of Schenectady's "golden age," the theater was a staple of a bustling nightlife. As time went on and fortune's faded, this theater faced demolition. In this presentation we'll learn how this historic theater emerged from desperation and galvanized the rebirth of our city.
