Open to all, although minors need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No cost or commitment to attend weekly.

Free produce distribution every Friday. Numbers are handed out beginning at 4:15. No I.D., paperwork, or preregistration required.

Tri-City BMX Winter Balance Bike Class

The cost of a one month class is $100, which includes a weekly balance bike class, USABMX membership, end of session awards, pizza party and t-shirt. There are two sessions available. Session 1 is for ages 1 thru 3 and will be 10am-11am. Session 2 is for ages 3-5 and will be 11:15-12:15am.

Required equipment: Long pants, long sleeve shirt, dry sneakers, balance bike and helmet. We will have a supply of balance bikes to loan out and also for sale. This is not a drop off event, parents/guardians are required to stay.

We host a monthly Game Night at 6:30 PM on the 3rd Friday of each month. Bring your games, or play ours! We will provide chess, checkers, cards, and a variety of board or card games including but not limited to: Settlers of Catan, Set, Evolution, Castles of Burgundy, Ticket to Ride, Wingspan, Splendor, Azul, and many more! We have a solid Magic: The Gathering contingent as well! People of all ages and abilities are welcome, but most provided games are suitable for people 12 and older, so please bring games suitable for younger children if they are joining in on the fun. We hope to share knowledge and find like minded people who love to game. Game night is free although a $5 suggested donation is appreciated to help keep Rotterdam Community Center up and running. Mario joins forces with Princess Peach and Toad. The trio is in search of Mario's brother Luigi. Pride Month Film Screening and Discussion: "1946"

On Monday, June 24, the Rotterdam Community Center in collaboration with Schenectady Clergy Against Hate will host a public screening of the documentary film “1946: The Mistranslation that Shifted a Culture.” The film uncovers the mistranslation that erroneously led to the word “homosexual” being included in the Bible. By the time that the error was identified, it was too late. Subsequent translations included the word in additional verses, resulting in Holy Scriptures being weaponized against the LGBTQ community. The screening will be followed by a brief panel discussion during which audience members will be invited to ask questions of area clergy members. This gathering is free to all who are interested as we celebrate Pride Month at the Rotterdam Community Center!

Join us for our monthly movie night!! This month we are showing "Wonka." This fantasy musical film follows the story of Willy Wonka, the famous but eccentric chocolatier based on the character from Roald Dahl's novel. In particular, it emphasizes his rise to the top. The narrative traces his beginnings as a young adult who started as an employee selling chocolate in a store until he became driven to enter the chocolate industry eventually. This film acts as a prequel to the 1971 film adaptation of Dahl's novel. This film is rated PG. Doors open at 6:30pm and the movie starts at 7:15pm. Join us for our monthly movie night!! This month we are showing "Trolls Band Together" This third installment of the Trolls franchise finds friends Poppy and Branch as a couple. But as they get to know each other more, it is revealed that Branch was a member of the old popular boyband BroZone when he was younger. Not only that, but the group members are his real-life brothers to boot. However, when they disbanded, Branch never saw his boyband brothers again until his brother Floyd is kidnapped.
